Athletics Kenya has announced new dates and venues for the 2025 World Athletics Championships trials.
In the statement on Friday, July 4, the agency stated that the change was due to the unavailability of the stadium on the previously planned dates of August 1 and August 2, 2025. "This adjustment has been necessitated by the unavailability of the stadium on the initially scheduled dates of 1st-2nd August," read part of a statement by Athletics Kenya. "We urge all participants to take note of this change and adjust their preparations accordingly," it added.

Twitter Athletics Kenya Athletics Kenya stated that the trials would now take place on Tuesday, July 22, this year at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi. "Athletics Kenya wishes to inform athletes and stakeholders in the athletics fraternity that the Trials for the World Athletics Championships - Tokyo 2025 will now be held on July 22, 2025, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Nairobi," the entity announced.
