Residents of Lodwar Municipality, Turkana County, have rallied for the installation and repair of security lights and the opening up of roads leading to social amenities, terming them as priority concerns.

At a citizens' forum organised by the Municipality area management, residents said that areas around Safari club, Kalahari, Loturerei, and Napetao lacked security lights, posing a security threat. "Many of the challenges we pointed out in previous sittings have been addressed.

However, we now want the Municipality to focus on streetlights.

Put up new ones and repair the existing ones especially around Kalahari and Safari club," said Anastasia Ekeno from Kanamkemer.
