Vihiga County is poised to benefit from a groundbreaking international academic partnership aimed at fostering innovation, research, and skills development, following talks between Vihiga Governor Dr Wilber Ottichilo and senior representatives from India's Vignan's University.
On Tuesday, Governor Ottichilo hosted Mr Hari Murthy, Director of Velocity Project Management Limited, and Mr Srikant Nandigam, CEO of Vignan's University, at the county headquarters in Mbale.
Vignan's University, based in Andhra Pradesh, is renowned for its emphasis on science, engineering, and innovation.
The meeting focused on potential collaborations between Vignan's University and local institutions, including Kaimosi Friends University and technical training institutes within the county.
