City businessman and TikToker Kakan Maiyo has been released on a Ksh10,000 police bond.

The release came days after a dramatic arrest by plain-clothed detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, who stormed into the office and forcefully apprehended him.

His lawyers, led by Law Society of Kenya Vice President Mwaura Kabata, on Friday, July 11, sought for the case to be dropped since there were no charges against the TikToker.

According to the TikToker's lawyers, the DCI officers were yet to arraign him in court, despite previously claiming that he would be presented at the Kahawa Law Courts.
