Engineer Philemon Kandie has resigned as the Director General of the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), three years into his five-year contract.
In a letter dated July 11, 2025, Kandie formally notified the Board of his decision to step down from the role, citing a three-month notice period with his last day in office set for October 10, 2025.
He also requested to proceed on his 45-day annual leave beginning July 14, 2025. "This letter serves as a formal notification of my resignation from the position of Director General at Kenya Rural Roads Authority, giving a notice of three months effective 11th July 2025," wrote Kandie. "I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition during this period and take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the Board of KeRRA for the support and incredible journey throughout my tenure."
