Former Chief Justice David Maraga has revealed that the bulk of his Presidential campaign funding will rely on the goodwill of Kenyans.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, Maraga asserted that although the actual campaign budget had yet to be determined, the plan was to have Kenyans donate to it, making it an administration brought to power by ordinary citizens. "The details are being worked out since we will require quite a substantial amount of money.
My people are working on the likely budget," he stated. "But I am convinced we are going to appeal to Kenyans to contribute to our campaign, and it is going to succeed.
The Kenyans will, themselves, fund this election, and once we are funded and get elected, you can rest assured that no one will arm-twist us as this is a Wanjiku government." An image of Former Chief Justice David Maraga addressing the protesters on June 25, 2025.
