Local residents in Kijabe Ward, Lari Sub-County, Kiambu County now have easier access to government services following the official opening of the new Bath Town Chief's office, marking a significant milestone in bringing administrative services closer to the people.
The facility was officially opened by Mburu Kahangara, Member of Parliament for Lari constituency, alongside local residents and other area chiefs from across the sub-county who attended the ceremony.
Kahangara emphasized the importance of decentralizing government services to ensure residents can access essential administrative functions without traveling long distances. "This new chief's office will serve as a vital link between the government and our people, ensuring that services like national ID applications, birth certificates, and other civic documents are readily available to our residents," he said.
The legislator noted that the facility represents the government's commitment to improving service delivery at the grassroots level, particularly in rural areas where access to administrative services has been a challenge.
