Transport was temporarily paralysed along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway on Thursday following a deadly road accident involving a matatu and a trailer at Ngata area, in Nakuru County.
According to police reports, the trailer rammed into the matatu, killing a woman and her child on the spot.
Several other passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals.
Rescue operations were launched immediately, with the police and members of the public working together to retrieve the bodies that were trapped in the mangled wreckage.
