The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially announced the opening of its application portal for P1 and ECDE certificate holders wishing to upgrade their teaching qualifications.
The announcement on Wednesday revealed that qualified applicants will be able to pursue a Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) via a streamlined placement process coordinated by KUCCPS.
Eligible candidates must possess a Certificate in Primary Teacher Education (P1) or Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) to qualify for the upgrade programme. "The Ministry of Education has introduced this programme to provide teachers with P1 or ECDE certificates with a pathway to upgrade their qualifications to diploma level," read part of the announcement. File Applicants were also advised to log into the KUCCPS application system through the official website and choose a public Teacher Training College (TTC) of their preference to begin the process.
