Three Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) were injured and rushed to hospital when chaos erupted during the impeachment proceedings of Kericho Governor Erick Mutai.
The chaos broke out on August 15 in the Kericho County Assembly immediately after the Speaker announced the results of the impeachment vote, confirming that Governor Mutai had been impeached for a second time.
A video obtained by Kenyans.co.ke captured the shocking turn of events, showing a tense political session descending into a physical brawl. The footage reveals rival factions of MCAs exchanging blows, with the sounds of screaming filling the chamber as frustration and anger boiled over. At one point, items were seen being hurled through the air.
