The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has dispatched a team to inspect the Coptic roundabout located along the Kisumu-Kakamega highway.
This follows an incident where a group of unknown people reportedly dug out the roundabout following the surging cases of road accidents along the section of the highway.
Moments after the incident, KeNHA sent a team of engineers to redesign the roundabout in a move aimed at stopping the persistent road carnage.
Images of the roundabout obtained by Kenyans.co.ke showed the section of the road covered in a mountain of mud, scattered debris and wreckage of a road sign that had been placed along the road.
