Continued rainfall, strong winds, and chilly conditions are expected to hit several regions across the country this week, according to the Kenya Meteorological Department.

In its weekly forecast, the department said that Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, and North-western Kenya will experience continued rain between Tuesday, August 19, and Saturday, August 23.

On the other hand, the Coast, the South-eastern lowlands, North-eastern and North-western Kenya, will experience strong  South-easterly winds exceeding 25 knots during this period.

During the morning, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi counties will experience sunny intervals throughout the week.
