The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has warned the public against falling for a well-orchestrated vehicle auction advertisement that went viral on social media on Thursday August 21.
In an official statement, the KRA flagged the auction as fake and urged Kenyans to disregard it, recommending that the public rely solely on communications from the authority's verified channels. "Kindly note that the vehicle auction notices circulating are FAKE.
All official KRA communication is shared only through verified official channels," KRA said in the alert.
The fake auction, which was initially posted on Thursday, featured KRA colours and themes and claimed that 22 vehicles were up for sale.
