Leaders in Narok County have joined Kenyans to mourn the death of former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati, who passed on while undergoing treatment in a Nairobi hospital.
Led by Governor Patrick Ntutu, the leaders said the contribution of Chebukati to Kenya's electoral system, particularly during the challenging 2017 and 2022 elections, will be remembered in the nation's history. "His commitment to the democratic process was evident.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time," he said.
The governor spoke at Olposimoru trading centre, where he launched a newly constructed sales yard, two newly established maternity wards and a water project.
