Busia County Commissioner Chaunga Mwachaunga has lauded the National Biosafety Authority (NBA) for creating public awareness on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) in the county.

Speaking during a meeting with the Authority's management led by acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr.

Nehemiah Ngetich in his office in Busia, Mwachaunga, however, observed that more public awareness on GMOs needed to be done. "We look forward to working together along the border town to ensure that we do not have unapproved GMOs in the country," said the County Commissioner.

The NBA Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) appreciated the County Commissioner for supporting the Authority's activities.
