The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has cautioned applicants to be wary of fraudsters claiming to be placement agents.
This follows reports that some scammers were conning unsuspecting applicants by purporting to process applications for Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) for a fee.
KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Agnes Wahome, in a statement on Friday, March 7, advised applicants to use only the official placement service portal. "Applications are to be submitted online on the KUCCPS student's portal; applicants are advised to be vigilant to avoid becoming victims of online fraudsters," Wahome told applicants.
