Members of Parliament (MPs) drawn from both the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) have banded together to call for the absorption of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka in the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties.

Speaking before President William Ruto on Sunday, Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi and Kapseret's Oscar Sudi stated that this would further push the unity agenda outlined in the MoU.  "As I was present when you were signing that document with Baba, I thought about many things and because the message was that we are fostering the socio-economic and political prosperity of our country, I wanted to urge you to not leave anyone behind," Atandi stated. "I know there are many leaders out there that are still talking and saying that maybe the President is only interested in a few people.

I wanted to urge you that even our brother, this Wiper guy we need to bring him on board.

We need to bring everyone on board." Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka addressing mourners at the ICC Church, Nairobi on February 6, 2025.
