The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has issued updates on the upcoming grassroots elections in 22 counties on April 11 and 12.

In a statement following a meeting of the National Steering Committee and the National Elections Board on March 10, UDA National Chairperson Cecily Mbarire stated that 10,000 gadgets had already been procured to facilitate the exercise.

She noted that this would ensure democracy and fairness during the election, adding that it would be conducted entirely through a digital electronic framework. "The UDA's foresight strategy emphasizes participatory leadership as a cornerstone of our democratic framework.

True democracy flourishes when every citizen has the opportunity to engage in the political process," the statement read.
