The Ministry of Roads and Transport has introduced short courses in driving, plant operation, civil engineering, and other trades at the Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT).

The announcement, made on Tuesday, March 11, includes courses examined by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) and the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).

This initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to expand access to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The programmes are open to school leavers and working professionals seeking to upgrade their skills.
