Jubilee Party Chairperson Jeremiah Kioni has assured that the party will remain in the opposition and has no intention of joining hands with the Kenya Kwanza side.
Addressing the press on Saturday, March 15, Kioni said that the party would remain keen on keeping the government in check until the 2027 general elections.
According to the chairman, the party is focused on producing candidates, including the former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i, who are expected to show interest and clinch the country's top seats to cement the party's place in government. "Parties are already trying to form a coalition heading to 2027, but we as Jubilee are not going to form any coalition until we have our branches functioning at every level, and you know you are aware many people are saying that we have our own presidential candidate who is called Fred Matiang'i; all these things are preparations of many things to ensure that the pastry is functioning," he said.
