Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has announced a temporary three-day closure on City Hall Way between City Hall Way Roundabout and Parliament Roundabout.
According to a statement dated March 15, the closure will occur between March 17 and March 20 and allow for preparations for the WRC Safari Rally. "The WRC Safari Rally wishes to inform the public of a temporary road closure on City Hall Way, from City Hall Way Roundabout to Parliament Roundabout," part of the statement read. "This closure will be in effect from Monday, 17th March 2025, at 8:00 PM to Thursday, 20th March 2025, at 3:00 PM, to facilitate the setup and hosting of the WRC Safari Rally Opening Ceremony." Gilbert Boss The notice further urged motorists accustomed to using the route to plan ahead and take alternative routes.
It also urged them to cooperate with police and traffic marshals who would be deployed in the area to tackle traffic. "Motorists are advised to plan their journey in advance or use alternative routes, and cooperate with police officers and traffic marshals on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow," the statement concluded.
