To boost maternal healthcare in Busia County, Rainbow 4 Afrika UK has donated two ultrasound machines to Angurai and Matayos Sub-County Hospitals with aim of reducing maternal mortality rates by enabling early screening and detection of fetal abnormalities.
During the handover ceremony, the Deputy Governor of Busia County who also serves as the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health, Arthur Odera, expressed gratitude for the continued support from Rainbow 4 Afrika UK. "These ultrasound machines will greatly improve our capacity to provide quality prenatal care, ensuring that complications are detected early enough for timely interventions," said Odera.
