The Technical University of Kenya (TUK) has announced the immediate resumption of learning activities at the institution after a month-long strike by the university staff.

TUK Vice Chancellor Benedict Mutua in a statement on Tuesday afternoon, said that the decision followed the suspension of industrial action by the Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU) and the Kenya University Staff Union (KUSU) yesterday.

Mutua revealed that the University Senate convened a special meeting moments after the signing of the Return-to-Work formula, during which they resolved to allow students back to the institution. "All students are hereby recalled to resume academic programmes at the university, effective Tuesday, March 18, 2025," read part of the notice.
