Former NTV journalist Kennedy Murithi Bundi has asked President William Ruto to appoint him for a state job.
Reacting after reports that Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Margaret Ndung'u refused to accept Ruto's appointment as the country's High Commissioner to Ghana, Murithi asked the president to nominate him instead.
Taking to his official social media pages, the senior reporter, who was on NTV for ten years until January 2023, revealed that he was disappointed by the CS's move to reject the position. "I have received with utmost shock information that a former Cabinet Secretary has declined an opportunity offered to them by the president of the Republic of Kenya to serve as a High Commissioner in Ghana," the former journalist stated.
Bundi went ahead to tender his application verbally, revealing that he would like to be appointed for that position that was rejected by the former CS.
