The fight to save the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) seems to be far from over.
The Constitutional (Amendment) Bill, 2025, that seeks to amend Article 204 of the Constitution to introduce three other funds has been published in Parliament.
The Bill seeks to introduce Articles 204(A) National Government Constituency Fund, 204(B) The Senate Oversight Fund, and 204(C) National Government Affirmative Action Fund.
The Bill has been curated to bypass offensive encroachments into devolution and sharing of revenues between the national and county governments contemplated in the Constitution.
