Kajiado Central detectives have arrested three suspects for allegedly stealing a lorry carrying maize worth Ksh 1.7 million after the driver was supposedly drugged.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigation(DCI) on March 24 stated that the lorry driver had parked at Maduka ya Juu in Kajiado where he was with a woman he knew, who had joined him at the Namanga border. "As detailed in a police report filed on March 19, the theft occurred when the lorry driver packed at Maduka ya Juu in Kajiado.
Accompanying him was a woman physically known to him who had joined the journey at the Namanga border," the detectives stated. When he stepped away to use the restroom, he returned to find the woman holding two soft drinks.
After drinking one, he started feeling dizzy and fell asleep inside the truck.
