The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has ordered individuals planning to import Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) equipment to obtain the necessary license associated with the products.
In a notice published on Tuesday, March 25, the Authority called on members of the public to adhere to the requirement for the smooth processing of their imported digital products.
As per the notice, all importers of ICT products meant for sale in the country are also required to attach a copy of the valid compliance certificate which permitted them to import the product.
All importers of digital equipment are also required to attach an invoice that shows full details of the product being imported, including the model number and quantity.
