All Nairobi County service providers found dumping waste in unauthorized areas will have their licenses revoked immediately, the county government has announced.

In an official statement dated Thursday,  March 27, the county's Chief Officer Environment, Geoffrey Mosiria, revealed that service providers who are dumping waste in unprecedented areas are endangering the county dwellers and going against the constitution.

The notice comes after the county found that some private service providers were illegally disposing of waste in undersigned areas, leading to environmental degradation in Nairobi City. "Take notice, any service provider found dumping waste in unauthorized areas will have their license revoked immediately,  without their consent,'' Mosiria announced.  Nairobi County Chief Officer Environment Geoffrey Mosiria during a raid in Likoni Road, March 27, 2025.
