The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has opened applications for college tutors seeking to be among examiners for teacher education assessments.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, April 1, KNEC said it would be conducting training for the tutors who will be marking the exams this month.

Those interested in becoming tutors and marking the exams will be required to pay a Ksh10,500 training fee.

According to KNEC, the training fee will only be paid by shortlisted applicants. "The training fee will be Ksh10,500 and will only be made by the shortlisted applicants, who will be notified through a text message (SMS) and the portal on how to make the payments," KNEC said in its notice via the government publication MyGov.
