Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has mourned his long-time personal aide and bodyguard, George Oduor, as a " dependable rock" following his death on Wednesday evening.

In a heartfelt statement, Odinga described Oduor as more than just a bodyguard, stating that he was a trusted confidant and a pillar of support for his family for decades. "It is with profound shock and sadness that I announce the passing of my personal ide and bodyguard George Oduor this evening in Nairobi after short illness," he said. "George has been a part of Jaramogi's and my family since the late 80s.

We have stood, fallen, and risen together," Raila mourned.
