Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera has threatened to table a motion in parliament to dissolve the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), citing discrimination in the recent teachers' promotion.
Speaking in Kulumbeni village, Lugari, Kakamega County, during the launch of a road rehabilitation project, Nabwera claimed the exercise was marred by favoritism, discrimination, tribalism and lack of regional balance.
While questioning the criteria used in the promotions, the legislator called on TSC to repeat the exercise, failure of which he would table a motion for the dissolution of the Commission. "TSC has done the promotions with a lot of favouritism and tribalism.
I condemn their actions.
