A senior government official close to President William Ruto has urged the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) to take action against the Habanos club along the Kiambu Road over noise pollution In his official X account on Sunday, April 6, the official who was once the head of Hustler Nation Intelligence Bureau (HNIB) said that he has personally received complaints from residents living near the club over the excessive noise the club is emitting.
He noted that the recurrent noises have been affecting school-going children and other families residing near the club.
The official has urged the club to emulate the neighbouring clubs and install soundproofing to create a conducive environment for its neighbours. "Dear HABANOS, please install Soundproof, copy your neighbour's BND.
The children & families as far off as Ridgeways live as if they are inside your club.
