Githunguri Member of Parliament (MP) Gathoni Wamuchomba has hit at who she deemed "political chauvinists," specifically accusing her predecessor of publicly fighting her and derailing her development projects in the constituency.
In a statement on Tuesday, April 8, Wamuchomba stated that the former MP, who currently serves as a board member of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), had vowed to use his position to stop development projects in the constituency. "He's now threatening that no CDF work will be done in Githunguri under his watch," Wamuchomba stated. "Last year, he held a public meeting to incite the public against me in Nyaga and even promised to build a laboratory using NGCDF money, yet I'm the elected Member of Parliament.

Karungo Thang'wah Apart from abusing his capacity to delay projects in the constituency, Wamuchomba alleged that the former MP had stormed her CDF offices on Saturday and threatened to harm them, a matter that she said has been reported to the Githunguri OCPD.
