The National Government has expressed satisfaction with the on-going upgrading of Kitale-Morpus Road in Trans Nzoia County.

Speaking in Trans Nzoia during an inspection tour of government projects, the Chief of Staff in the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Joseph Busiega who led a high powered delegation from The National Government Coordination Secretariat (NGCS), applauded the on-going exercise urging contractors overseeing government projects across the country to adhere to timelines while maintaining high standards. "We are impressed with the pace and quality of workmanship being displayed by the contractor, an example we wish other contractors to emulate," he said, explaining that completion of government projects on time and adherence to standards is one sure way the public would realize the value of the spent funds.

Meanwhile, he reminded contractors to ensure the public participation component is adhered to during implementation of government projects as a way of bringing everyone on board. " A multi-sectoral approach is a crucial element in the implementation of government projects.

Besides, we urge contractors to ensure the interests of our communities are well documented through public participation and are adhered during the project implementation period.
