The High Court has directed the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to immediately reinstate the security detail assigned to former National Assembly Speaker and Attorney General, Hon.
Justin Muturi, pending the determination of a suit challenging the withdrawal of his official protection.
Justice Chacha Mwita issued a conservatory order barring the National Police Service from withdrawing or interfering with Muturi's security arrangements in any way until June 24, 2025. "A conservatory order is hereby issued directing the Inspector General of Police to immediately reinstate and/or restore the security of Hon.
Justin Muturi, the former Speaker of the National Assembly, and not to withdraw or interfere with it in any other manner until 24th June 2025," ruled Justice Mwita.
