The High Court on Friday, April 11, ordered the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to immediately reinstate former Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi's security detail.
The order, albeit temporary, was issued by Justice Chacha Mwita pending the determination of a petition filed challenging Muturi's security withdrawal. "Pending the hearing and determination of the petition and application, a conservatory order is hereby issued directing the Inspector General of Police to immediately reinstate and/or restore the security of Hon.
Justin Muturi, and not to withdraw or interfere with it in any manner until June 24, 2025," read the court order in part.
On Tuesday, April 8, Muturi revealed that his security detail had been withdrawn, further alleging that his life was in danger.
