Wajir County Governor Ahmed Abdullahi has threatened to sue Dela Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Yussuf Hussein Ahmed after he claimed that he was behind his abduction.
During an interview with Citizen TV on Saturday, the governor stated that Ahmed's remarks were defaming and could affect his political ambitions.
According to the governor, the declaration by the MCA was a way for him to drag his name in the mud in the eyes of the national audience since he had attained his seat as the chair of the council of the government. "The people of Wajir know what is going on.
That statement was just made to malign me with the people of Nairobi, especially now that I am the Chair of the Council of Governors and the people who did not know me are getting to know me by virtue of that position," he stated.
