The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has flagged as fake a Facebook group purporting to represent the service's 2025 enrolment.

In a social media post on Sunday, April 13, KUCCPS flagged two posts from the group and warned applicants to not fall for impersonators on sites.

In one such post, the Facebook group claimed that the placement service had revised its cut-off points for the education course, which would eliminate students with a C+ in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).  According to the fake post, this would lead to several students missing out on placement in public universities, leading them to consider private universities instead.

KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Agnes Mercy Wahome Photo KUCCPS "KUCCPS have revised their cut-off points for education, and the current ones C+ students interested in education might miss out.
