The Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union have petitioned the Senate seeking an intervention over long-standing issues.
In a letter shared by the KMPDU National Chairperson Dr Abidan Mwachi, the union outlined three concerns raised in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which are consistently not met. "We write to inform you that we have officially petitioned the Senate to address longstanding issues regarding our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)," the doctor wrote.
Top on the list was the comprehensive implementation of the Social Health Authority (SHA) insurance and a resolution to the monthly lock-outs on the ninth of every month.
