The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), and the National Police Service (NPS) have announced the return of a road safety awareness campaign in response to the rising number of road accidents recorded in recent weeks.
In a statement issued by KeNHA on Monday, the road safety campaign will run for three days, from Monday to Wednesday, and is aimed at enhancing awareness among road users.
According to KeNHA, the campaign will specifically target Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs) and Public Service Vehicles (PSVs), focusing on drivers operating in the western and central regions of the country.
The regions where the three agencies will coordinate the safety exercise include the border towns of Malaba and Busia, Kisumu, Nyeri, and Meru.
