The national government is making significant progress in upgrading road infrastructure in Kericho County, with key projects in Belgut Sub-County nearing completion.
The upgrading of the Kapsuser-Sachangwan/Tegat-Sosiot Road (9.2 km) and Kapsuser-Kipsolu Road (3.8 km) a combined 13 kilometers commenced on April 24, 2024, and is currently 63.5% complete.
According to the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), the road upgrade project, undertaken by the contractor M/s Amanta Construction Co.
Ltd., is expected to be completed by September 2025 and will greatly improve accessibility in the region, especially for local farmers, traders, and key institutions such as schools and health centers.
