Two people have been killed in separate wildlife attacks in Nairobi and Nyeri, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has confirmed.
A 14-year-old girl was mauled by a lion on Sunday evening in Savannah Ranch, located near Nairobi National Park.
At about 7 p.m., the girl, a Grade 7 pupil at a local primary school, was attacked as she was in a residential compound.
Another teenager witnessed the incident and raised the alarm, prompting KWS rangers to respond quickly.
