A Kenyan man became the center of attention during President William Ruto's diaspora engagement with Kenyans living in China, held as part of his four-day State Visit to the Asian nation.

Brian Karani, a professional and lecturer of History at an international high school in China, appealed to the President to have Kenya designated as an English-speaking country.

He argued that such a designation would enable the country to expatriate more Kenyans to teach abroad, particularly in China.

Karani further urged President Ruto to engage Chinese President Xi Jinping to grant Kenya the opportunity to supply teachers to schools in China.
