Kenya's Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary, Korir Sing'Oei, has commended the United States government for intervening in the conflict between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Sing'Oei, on Saturday morning, lauded President Donald Trump's administration for exhibiting exemplary leadership by presiding over the signing of a peace agreement between the two warring nations.

According to the PS, the peace deal signed in Washington, D.C yesterday was a critical building block for peace and stability in both nations and that it was essential for a shared prosperity. "We commend the United States government for its leadership in securing this milestone- a critical building block for peace, stability and shared prosperity in Eastern DRC and the Great Lakes region," PS Sing'Oei commented.
