The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has recovered two AK-47 rifles believed to have been used in the fatal attack on three National Police Reservists (NPR) earlier this month.

In a statement issued on Saturday, April 26, the DCI said the recovery was made during a joint operation at Lemorijo village in Lengurma Location, Isiolo North Sub-County.  According to the detectives, the two AK-47 rifles, both with empty magazines, were found hidden in the area. "Earlier today, a joint operation led by the DCI Crime Scene Investigations (CSI) team, supported by GSU Kipsing, successfully recovered two AK-47 rifles with empty magazines at Lemorijo village, Lengurma Location, Isiolo North Sub-County," the statement read.
