Kenya's human rights record is set to be examined on Thursday, May 1, for the fourth time by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

The assessment will be conducted by the UNHRC's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group during a 12-day meeting from April 28 to May 9, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland.

The first, second and third UPR reviews of Kenya's human rights records took place in May 2010, January 2015 and January 2020, respectively.

The UPR Working Group is comprised of the 47 member states of the Human Rights Council.
