Leaders in Turkana County have congratulated former Cabinet Secretary John Munyes on his appointment as the Special Peace Envoy for the Ateker region.
Led by Beatrice Askul, the Cabinet Secretary for East African Community, ASALs, and Regional Development, the leaders expressed their support for President William Ruto's initiative to promote peaceful coexistence and socio-cultural integration among the Karamojong, Jie, Turkana, Toposa, Nyangatom, Teso, and Lang'o communities in the border areas of Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, and Ethiopia.
