A traffic snarl-up is building up along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway after a gas tanker and a mini-truck overturned.
The gas tanker, which was carrying liquid gas, overturned near Signature Mall in Sabaki, Athi River. Reports say the driver lost control of the vehicle, and it fell into a ditch.
The tanker was heading from Mombasa to Nairobi when the accident happened.
Just about 100 metres away from the tanker crash, a mini-truck also overturned in a separate accident. According to an eyewitness, the mini-truck may have been the first to crash, possibly causing the second accident.
