Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja is hospitalised in London.
The news was confirmed by Governor Susan Kihika during an interview with a vernacular station on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
Although the two leaders have been at loggerheads for some time, Kihika wished her counterpart a speedy recovery. "I want to wish a quick recovery to Senator Tabitha Karanja, I know she is in a hospital in London. "I was told if someone is sick and you do not agree with one another, you are not supposed to punch someone who is down," she said, without disclosing the governor's health emergency.
This comes weeks after Senator Karanja took issue with Kihika's maternity leave, saying the latter had not properly communicated with the people of Nakuru.
