The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) now says it has leads on potential suspects in the murder of Kasipul Member of Parliament Ong'ondo Were.
The MP was shot dead Wednesday night by unknown assailants on Ngong Road near the City Mortuary Roundabout. "Detectives have forensically reconstructed MP Were's movements from Parliament to the location of the shooting.
This detailed analysis has yielded significant leads, enabling investigators to narrow down to potential suspects," the agency said in a statement on Friday.
DCI also believes the killing was premeditated, citing the calculated manner in which it was carried out.
